Pipeline design activities undergoing detailed refinement
Preliminary engineering, environmental and other design and planning activities
have been underway since late 2005 and significant progress has been achieved.
Through a development agreement process responsive to the needs of engaged parties,
the design of the Altex Pipeline System is undergoing detailed refinement to
ensure the lowest total transport cost to its contracted shippers.
Areas of design optimization now underway include: the staging of future expansion
capacities, diluent choice and blending ratios, route refinement, receipt and
delivery point configurations, and schedule.
