Shippers engaged in process to achieve lowest total transport cost
Altex Energy Ltd. is currently working with several interested shippers, under
Confidentiality Agreements, to integrate each of their individual project
requirements with the Altex Pipeline System, including
bitumen production
profiles and technologies. Potential shippers have shown a keen interest
in the Altex concept of direct access to the right market at the lowest total
transport cost.
Altex is engaged with potential shippers in a formal process that includes
presentation of confidential project details focusing on elaboration of its
Thermo-LEVR™ and
BIRDA™ technologies and the fact that its direct
route reduces in-transit inventory costs by up to 70%.
As a result, a number of potential shippers are working directly with Altex
under contractual development agreements. An ongoing iteration of route and
design refinements has resulted from this process to address identified shipper
issues and preferences through review of design, costs and operating philosophy,
with the goal to finalize contract terms and conditions.
The resultant long-term
transportation agreements will ultimately support
applications for the required certificates from the appropriate Canadian
and U.S. regulatory authorities.
